Fukuichi Japanese Dining

It has been awhile since my last update and I apologise for the delay as my notebook was down all this while. Finally have my notebook back and running!

Anyway, if you are wondering where to have a nice Japanese cuisine near Somerset area next time, think no more and head to Fukuichi at TripleOne Somerset. It was our first time here and the food was suprisingly good.

Let’s cut to the chase and talk about the food. We started our meal with a Mekajiki (Swordfish sashimi) (S$18). Thick slices of swordfish sashimi were presented in front of us shortly. We have always loved swordfish sashimi and as expected the sashimi here were really fresh and sweet. Oh man, I could never stop at one…. Thumbs up!

Next is the Shir Maguro Maki (Seared White Tuna roll) (S$20). I think the photo doesn’t do justice to how good it had tasted. Oh my, this was really good, the tuna was really tasty. This was executed perfectly and we really enjoyed it. We would recommend this anytime.

While the next Goma Toro Maki (Sesame & Tuna Belly Roll) (S$18) was one of the recommended dishes. We have thought that this paled in comparison to the Shir Maguro Maki (Seared White Tuna roll). We thought this was average.

Lastly, we got ourselves one each of the Spider Temaki (Soft Shell Crab Handroll) (S$8) and the Tekka Temaki (Tuna Handroll) (S$4). We thought these were average but they were pretty affordable so no complaints.

Conclusion: We reckoned that you wouldn’t go wrong with the food here. With its convenient location in prime area and competitive prices, we think that this place definitely deserves a visit from you.
