Outback Steakhouse

11 Apr

This was not our first visit to Outback Steackhouse. However, our recent visit to Outback Steakhouse, was because of a groupon deal.  For $18.50, we got to choose from a half rack baby back ribs or bbq quarter chicken + soup of the day + a drink. Totally value for money and awesome deal.

The not so awesome, was that we found the food to have dipped in quality and of average taste. Perhaps there was a compromise in the quality of the food due to the groupon deal. We were not too sure either.

The soup of the day was zucchini soup, which was just mediocre and nothing to craze about.

We had both the bbq quarter chicken and the half rack baby back ribs. Similarly, there was the absence of a wow factor. The bbq quarter chicken was decent but not fantastic.

The half rack baby back ribs was dry and we were not impressed.  We noted the significant dip in the taste and the quality of the ribs. We recalled that we had a better experience previously. First of all, the food was not served hot, the meat was not tender and the taste was just lacking.

Conclusion: We were rather disappointed that our recent visit was kinda unpleasant. Judging from the queue outside the restaurant and the crowd, we hope it may just be our unlucky encounters.

Verdict: 5/10
